About the Home
In addition to the main house, the Home has a specialist Dementia House with its own sensory garden, dementia friendly signage, a dementia bike and tablets to support communication for those living with dementia.
There is an excellent library, stocked with talking book tapes and large print and ordinary books for the use of all.
Being in the middle of a golf course means that many of the bedrooms and common rooms have wonderful views.
The quaint village of Stisted is a slow walk of 20 minutes from the entrance. The town of Braintree is approximately 3 miles away, with trains to London and very good shopping facilities.
Visiting
The Secretary of the Friends of Prince Edward Duke of Kent Court will be pleased to hear from Almoners, Charity Stewards or individuals wishing to make an appointment which is convenient to you, our Home Manager and obviously our residents.
Alternatively you can take a tour of the home during one of our coffee mornings. These are held on the second Sunday of each month and an appointment is not necessary.
Should you wish to bring a group to visit the home a call would be appreciated.
